How You Can Help the Arts Council of Big Sky

The Arts Council of Big Sky is a Montana 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1989. Each year the ACBS presents nearly a dozen free concerts and events in Big Sky, no easy task for a nonprofit community organization made up mostly of volunteers. The ACBS receives funding from the Big Sky Resort Tax District, local foundations, regional and state grants, individual donations, business sponsorships and ticket sales from our annual headliner event. If you want to see these great events continue, we invite you to consider helping the ACBS realize its mission. There are many ways you can help!

Individuals can become a member for as little as $50. Each spring, the ACBS offers its annual membership fundraising campaign that helps defray programming and oranizational costs. You can also donate specifically to the donor-advised Peggy Dicken Schwer or Caroll Toepffer Memorial Funds. The ACBS now accepts donations of stock and appreciated securites through our affiliated Edward Jones office in Bozeman. Please call the ACBS office for more information on this great and tax-effective way to donate to the Arts Council.

If your business is interested in sponsoring our summer concert series, please contact the office for details on this program. The ACBS has sponsorship levels starting at $500, and this is a great way for local businesses to get some publicity as well as help out the organization. In addition, the ACBS is always looking for in-kind donations from local businesses, another great way to help us out!

Interested in volunteering? The newly devleoped Friends of the Arts Council is a great way to meet other people and help us out at the same time! This group helps out in various capacities at our events, and also is a stepping stone to finding out more about the ACBS and potentially becoming a member on the Board of Directors.
